I was a good boy-I waited 9 months and here they are. Excellent shoe. The leather is superb, finish is great (except those damned pencil marks all over the shoes!), fit is good and quality is very fine. I hope you all enjoy looking at them as much as I do. What does everyone think of the chisel toe?

The screws to the toe plate punctured through the sole as you can see.

There we are!

That first set of pictures did not do the shoes justice.

LC-The fit ain't bad. I will say-at the trial fitting-the heel was perfect-now, a bit looser-still very good, but not as good as the the trial fitting. The left foot is a bit snug on the left toe-but not at all worth complaining over-me just being pickie. My big toe nails do touch the upper slightly when walking-again me being pickie-no major problem. All in all, a good fitting shoe. To date-the best fitting shoe and most comfortable is the Maftei ankle boot-monk strap. The next in line is the Kleman after Maftei resoled it. It is a tie for third place between the Maftei semi-brogues and this Cleverly-although the Maftei is more comfortable as they padded the entire inside of the shoe.

Agreed. What do you think of Cleverly's chisel toe?

It must be difficult to lift those nose-heavy things off the ground?

I suppose Santa brought you a wide-angle lens as well.

Rolf-I'll add more flaps.
Santa didn't bring me the wide-angle, I just finally figured out how the hell the digital works!-I'm used to a 35mm.

Merry Christmas

What do you mean by that and yes, how would you compare them?

Did you order another pair?

Gerd,
What do I mean by what? How would I compare the Cleverly's to Maftei?
