Check out the World Superhero Registry to be amused at the costumes, ideals, and etc. of people who actually dress up in tights to fight "crime".

The now retired "Angle Grinder Man" was real. He was featured on an episode of "5th Gear" in a piece that looked into over zealous parking "enforcement" practices in England. People could call this masked vigilante wielding his Angle Grinder of righteousness to release their vehicles from the grips of the dreaded "boot". I believe illegally but who cares, he's a ******* superhero!
