I don't believe I've ever seen a longwing boot.

Strange, it seems a pretty obvious design move (plenty of full brogue boots around). A market niche for Leathersoul?

I was actually going to do this. Once the boot was completed I was going to start a thread titled, "Do you mafoo?" Not joking about the one boot, don't steal my shoe stealing thunder.

Would be a perfect excuse for you to also try a different leather. Alpine grain calf, say.

Our own Ron Rider is an option as he made some drawings for me, but I opted against it

It would have been an ankle boot with brogueing along the topline too

I just didn't like the large amount of dead vamp space in between the brogueing of the longwing and the brogueing along the topline

Someone had posted a Trickers boot in light tan suede over a year ago which had this longwing boot design. It did not look good and I abandoned this project...so should the OP

Tricker's definitely does. They call them either Galosh or Golosh style boots

Thanks for the pointer. I can find them on Japanese sites like this: http://thumbnail.image.rakuten.co.jp...mg56273137.jpg

... but not on the Trickers website, or on any European retailer's website. Do I actually have to go to Northampton?

I noticed that Trickers also does some interesting split-toe Indy boots (Japan only?):

Provided that I can find them, now I'm undecided between the two!
