I just got a killer 100% cotton gabardine waterproof parka with a removable lining. Super dark military green. Love it but I'm worried it might make me look short and stumpy. I'm slim but only 5' 7" and this parka ends about 2-3" above the knee. It's basically a fishtail parka although minus the actual tail.

So in essence, can short guys wear long parkas?

it's gonna make you look short and stumpy. parkas shouldn't really fall much beyond the butt. pics would help

Don't have a camera with me but this is almost exactly how it fits (I think mine ends maybe an inch higher). But I'm not 6'+ tall. I was under the impression parkas varied in length between covering one's butt and being just above the knee.

I'm able to imagine what a 3/4-length parka looks like on a male human...asked for pictures on you to assess your short/stumpy concern.

in short, you can do whatever you want...long jackets on short guys tend to make them look even shorter though.
