440 Quid (less vat probably 400). Not a great deal with what we are used to paying on the B&S.

I was there too and I thought- but did not say as I would not like to distress the japanese lady that must sufffer the company of the old fart: why bother? go to Northampton any time of the year and get them for about £400

That is an understatement. C&J partly because of this forum I believe seems to think their sxxt don't stink. With the new bigger flagship shop opening in September i actually wish they overextend and are forced to sell at a loss in a year or so

Clueless SA check. Arrogant SA check. May not be the same guy though. I must confess I did not assume the £450 tan Made in England shoes were G&Gs- I assumed them to be some kind of EG for RLPL like the ones me and malford bought for £300. How can anyone ask that kind of money for such ugly last with nothing special looks is beyond me. One down for G&G.

More interestingly who is doing the pricey Made in Italy shoes?. (SA did not know of course). They seem to be a horrible middle way between english and italian shoes- taking the bad aspects of each country's traditions

Just buy the RLPL shirts and the nice navy summer coats (£70).

Go for the Loake 1880 line. They should be in your budget.
