1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

That was exactly my point here. If these little get-togethers were on a more regular basis people could actually plan for them.

Gentlemen, have a wonderful time in London.

I think Crusty is also en route within the next 2-4 weeks; would that help?

I may be in NYC in February, if I'm lucky - ample warning, non?

Thank you, fellow; a shame you can't be here

The London meetings have always been about holiday visits or unplanned encounters. Ich_Dien and I became pals and drinking buddies, of course, whilst I've endeavoured to stay in touch with the majority of the travelling SF members who met with me over the past two years

People like Nii and Stilmacher are the sorts I would have met in my personal life eventually, since they're already linked to it outside of online connections

Right Chaps, lets nail down an initial time and place for meeting, I'll be in town & free from about 4:30 onwards, so am pretty flexible about start times...have any of you tried the Burlington arms? any good as a meeting point? Hope your still enjoying the city Nii, I know the weather has reverted slightly more towards British standard now, I hope the dampness isn't putting you off!

ps- Spoo, Crusty, let me know when you guys do make it to London, will be more than happy to have another of these transatlantic meetings!

I am down with Burlington Arms at 6:30. I think i should make it over there within 15 minutes from my hotel. I met Emmanuel - a great guy in the C&J store who might be coming too.

    See you all tomorrow night.

    Right, meeting at :
    -The Burlington Arms (map)
-From 6pm onwards, I shall arrive a little early so anyone who wants to join us can easily spot me ( the tall, beardy, bespectacled one eating a scotch egg, reading a book & drinking to much)
Anyone if they want to come or meet earlier please feel free to pm me.
Looking forward to meeting some of you fine folks!

Also, for our American visitors, just a quick reminder that the clocks went back an hour yesterday, I'm sure you had already realised, but just so you didn't arrive an hour before anyone else!

Arse - only just noticed this. Unlikely to make it now though will try.
TTO - is Mayfair your patch? I noticed a large, bearded and decently turned out gent wandering past whilst I was having a pint outside The Guinea which bore more than a passing resemblance.

    Dress-code- full dress with decorations!
only kidding, come as you are friend!
Youngsters, if they're old enough for the pub, it's fine by me, if you mean can you bring your kids, best check the pubs rules?
Mayfair isn't really my patch, I live and work in hackney, but I do tend to wonder through fairly regularly. feel free to say Hi next time (using the StyleForvm secret code of course)

I work in the Canary Wharf area so a lunchtime meetup in the West End is really difficult. Will no doubt venture out for future events if you were hoping to make these a regular thing.
