+1, seeing his confusion has made me think that I should do more research before getting a bespoke suit...he should just try to get his $ back from TF and go buy some shoes, or pornography or something

When I'm done with this law gig, I'm going to start a bespoke porn business. Any potential backers? Clients?

That's okay, I'll do it for you.

You're a stand up guy (and I don't mean in the Tom Ford way.)

What's the starting price on taking it in?

We're talking center vent, right? I'm pretty sure that affects the price.

What's the starting price on taking it in?

Depends on where you want it taken in.

    Double vent definitely costs more.

I presume an action back is extra, but double breasted should be included in the starting price.

Drop is the difference between your chest and waist measure. 6" is the norm in RTW.

    40" jacket has a 34 waist trouser, thus a 6" drop.

Y has a 48" chest and a 47" coat waist, 1" drop. You have at least an 8 to 10" difference between your chest and waist. I am noting that his fit and look wold be dissimilar to yours.

how about this fellow - what size of drop?

We cater to all tastes, no matter how eccentric. Single-breasted, open quarters, hand work, machine work, etc.

I have a feeling Despos will not reply to your post asking about starting prices. Maybe you should track down the dates of his next NY visit and show up to his hotel unannounced.
