I've noticed that rentals from places such as Men's Warehouse/Jos A. Bank/Private rentals run over $200 for one event. What would your thoughts be about a service that would allow users to "rent" the suits they have in their closet for an extremely discounted price? ($25-30/night) It would be a win/win as the renter would earn a % of the suit they are renting, and the rentee would be getting a suit for a discount. Think "Uber for Suits"...

Let me guess, the app would be called suit up for men, right?

Hmm I wouldn't know, but the name sounds pretty catchy!

The worst thing to do to a suit is dry clean it, yet this proposal would seem to require cleanings between rentals. If someone is particular about the fit of their clothes, it's quite unlikely there would be a suit that fits perfectly and happens to be available for rental. Color me skeptical.

A cheap suit would probably be a better investment for people who wear suits seldom enough that they'd rent one out. Just go to J. Crew Factory during a sale and pick one up at the same $200 price you'd pay for a Jos. A Bank rental.
