The William is not my favorite. That bulge at the cap stitching is just . . . weird.

Edit: Or, is it only the William II that has the bulge.

I believe it's just the II that has that stitiching where they pinch the leather to make that bulge. Someone once referred to it as Frankenstein stitching [IMG]

What are the last numbers of the Derwent and the Naseby models? I do like their slightly larger buckle than my Williams II.

8000 and 7000 respectively I think, but note that both models have been discontinued. The Derwent was regular line, the Naseby was Prestige line.

I like the look of the buckles being closer together. The buckles themselves are also interesting in that they're more like belt buckles, with a leather loop to keep the strap in place. This looks more elegant to me than having just a metal loop, like on the William.

haha. I agree eleventy million spoo. I hate everyone who has posted pics of them. [IMG] I can feel the money draining from my account. Ive been wanting some Lobb double monks for awhile now. Every other pair of double monks ive bought are just to scratch the itch.

A watch collector friend of mine gave me sound advice that applies to my shoes as well...the most expensive watch youll ever buy is the one you bought instead of the one you really wanted. Just insert "shoes" where "watch" is. [IMG]

The sexiest Lobb double right now is the 2010 Saint Crepin in that cabernet (?) misty calf. Almost pulled the trigger last week at the Madison store but ultimately decided they were too much like my William II's
