I got caught up in the excitement and bought a pair of Lobb Chambord II in Bracken Misty Calf. They were on sale, but I've never spent $800+ on a pair of shoes.

I had resigned to return them as I thought about it, but then I saw the color and touched the leather. It's pretty stunning. I'm conflicted.

Unless it will cause problems with your finances, I would keep them. Very versatile and well-made boot.

Not necessarily a huge financial problem. As much as anything is a mental hangup of spending that much on shoes. Of course, going to Styleforum isn't necessarily the place you look for someone to say don't buy a pair of Lobbs!

True SFer will not dessuade you from keeping them... Worse, some might convince you to return them and go for a bespoke pair in the same style.

Unless you are unemployed and have starving children, you should keep them.

Thanks for the encouragement folks! Unless something out of the ordinary happens, I think I'll keep them. They are a fine looking pair of shoes.

Those boots look great, and should be very comfortable. Good choice, IMO.
