Holt Renfrew recently started carrying Lobb's. There was a brown lace up with a design on the plain toe and they $1200. There was also a plain black lace up with a cap toe, they were $1500.

How does these prices compare to USA pricing?

I am not certain but overall for clothes and what not the exchange rate works in your favor if you are using US dollars.

I just bought a Stainless Steel Daytona for $8,900 US in Vancouver which was way cheaper than what I could have gotten in the states.

Interesting... doesn't seem to be much of a difference. I guess it wouldn't be so bad to buy them here.

Well if there is not much difference then do not buy them in Canada the tax is way too high.

I was there today and they had the John Lobb Chapel Buckle Loafer for

$1,775.00 x 1.13 (tax) = $2,005.75

Neiman Marcus pricing $1,560.00 x us exchange rate 1.23 = $1,918.80

1918.80 x 1.06 (Michigan state sales tax) = 2,033.93

The taxes and exchange really kill any likelihood of saving any money in the UA when paying retail. Sales is a different story because I find the discounts to be deeper in the US.

I was very tempted to get the brown Lobb's at 25% off.
