hello!
I had a question that I was hoping those wise souls out there could help me with? I am considering a visit to the John Lobb factory store some time soon to pick up a pair or two (not sure exactly what model(s) I am getting as I am not sure what they will have). I've heard that they will not necessarily include trees with whatever shoes you get and I'm considering using the Woodlore combination if this is the case.

These trees work very well with my C&J Weymouths but I was wondering if anybody out there has had any experience with the different John Lobb lasts? If the combinations aren't a good fit, can anybody recommend a tree that is for Lobb?

Thanks!!!

I made a post about this and the John Lobb Tamar in another thread. Basically in my experience for my UK 11E shoes the 7000 lasted Lobbs were okay with the Woodlore split toe and actually pretty good with the XL Washburn model from Rochester. The 1105 lasted Lobbs worked okay with both as well. I tried three different models (the two mentioned above as well as a L sized Epic) on my 8000 lasted Tamars and none worked out that great and the Woodlore actually started causing a slight bulge on the out part of the shoe.

I got tired of trying out different shoe trees so I switched out the Lobb trees from one of my 7000 lasted Lobbs into the Tamar. I think I'll continue to use the Washburns for any 7000 lasted Lobbs that I don't have shoe trees.

This may be different with smaller shoes....this was just my experience with my US 12D/UK11E-11.5E feet
