Hello

What do you guys think of Loake's 1880 export grade in terms of quality and value compared to brands that cost incrementally or even substantially more? I read somewhere that they even use leather stacked heels as opposed to leatherboard, and that the leather is a step above their 1880 Legacy line.

With cheaney/churchs costing about 30% for their entry level models, do the latter justify the increase in price compared to Export Grade Loakes?

Cheers!

I would put it closer to Churches, certainly than the norm 1880.

I think Carmina is better than any if these others though and is in a dif conversation.

I have carmina forest 732 and loake export grade Hanover, as i have been wearing both it is clear the Loake eg is a finer leather, much better creasing hands down.
