I've been searching for a brogue boot and this seems to be a decent deal.

The only problem is that there only seems to be one picture of these that exists on the internet. Does anyone know of any other pictures? My major concern is that have no idea what the soles are like on these. Would they be totally impractical and dangerous on ice/snow? I walk quite a bit, so I don't want to die walking up some sidewalk. I've looked at the Trickers Malton with the Commando sole too, but it's quite a bit more than I'm hoping to spend.

The Burford has a leather sole and heel with small rubber insert in the heel. I had the heel replaced and a rubber sole stuck on mine for safety in wet conditions. It is more elegant than the Trickers but not as well made and of cheaper leather (this is always the case Loake v Tricker). I note the shape and leather is 'changed' on newer models. The Burford looks more of a town boot than the Trickers.

The Loake Burford is verrrrrrrrrry comfortable -- from day "one" without a breaking in period. I've had mine in tan only a few weeks, and I am so happy with them I've ordered a pair in black.

Check out Barker "Harrison" boots which are very similar, probably nicer coloring in tan, and come with a dainite (rubber) sole.

I also have a pair of Tricker's "Stow" boots (okay, I'm shoe mad) which on the Internet appear to have approximately the same shape as the Loake Burford, but in reality are wayyyyyyyy bigger. They fit great, but externally they are massive, moon landing "let's invade France!" boots. They probably are better made and better leather than the Loake, but they're also for a different purpose -- they're real boots, waterproofed, tough, made for mucking around on your country estate (not included).
