Wow, seeing the stock photo and yours you couldn't believe it's the same model!

New PTB from Loake model 771R bought from Herring, as always very nice people to deal with, they arrived in pristine conditions. This will be my PTB season. I will come with more pictures.

My bad, I read chukka for some reason.

FYI, your listing says 11.5 US, but above you say 9.5 UK (which is10.5 US).
Thanks for this - will amend the listing now.
Cheers!

Hi, im a new member and purchased my first "real" shoes this year.
I own the loake Garvan and barker Leeds and liam.
I want to buy some new loake boots for the wet winter. I cant decide if i should buy the loake anglesey or the hyde.
How does compare the capital last to my river last in the garvans?
Thank you in advance

I have both boots, so my feedback might be useful!

Hyde and Anglesey are completely different boots. The first one is more dressy and much slimmer (yes, even considering they have the same last) because of the lack of stormwelt.
It's a boot that I wear with chinos and usually with shirts.

The Anglesey is a sturdy country boot, with a very thick victory sole. Given the look and thickness it's definitely less 'dressy' and better suited for bad weather and outdoor/country side/nature activities.

Given the difference in leather, the Anglesey will crease less than the Hyde.

The capital last fits TTS.

Thank you for your comparison.
The anglesey would be better for heavy rain/ light snow.
Is the hyde still a good boot for the winter or shall i go with the anglesey? (im in germany, so no heavy snow just cold and wet weather)
I like the look of the hyde a bit more but i really like the colour of the anglesey.
The hyde would cost me 255€ and the anglesey 279€.

Wore my Angleseys today - wonderful boot. I don’t have the Hyde, but do have other Loake shoes with the Dainite sole, and whilst there isn’t a night/day difference, I would lean towards the Anglesey‘s Victory sole for wet-weather grip. However, ultimate choice for me would likely depend on what I was wearing them with most.
