[IMG] I always thought it started with Eastern Frat Boys of Priviledge (EFBP's).

We don't have fraternities. We have final clubs, societies, or eating clubs.

    Alcohol content is similar, though.

Back to the OP: Why not go the "Full LabelKing" and get a pair in Croc or other exotic skins. I've been wearing this pair lately (...yes, in public). Though they are decidedly below your station you might find some more suitable.

Tiny, tiny pic of RLPL/EG Parson in croc:

They are a U-last penny, but with a regular hand stitched apron, not skin stitched. They are also in a more appropriate color, though that combo looks very nice.

My bad...now that I think about it, mine has a separate apron, although machine stitched.

Matty, are your U-last loafers a skinstitched penny, like my Vass here:

    ...or something else?

I like the raised seam stitching better than the skinstitching:

Here are my latest loafers. [IMG] I had a pair of EG Harrow and didn't like the low vamp (same with the RLPL model), nor the lack of lining.

Love these, and I need a shoe that color.

    That is very nice.

It's hard to go wrong with Vass.

They're also available in a navy blue. I tried on a pair, and they looked great, but didn't buy... (cost, second thoughts, two minds about the style, "don't really need them", etc, etc) . I regret passing up the chance a bit now, to be honest.

I bought my first pair of loafers last month. I did joke about how IO couldn't believe I would buy loafers. With a slightly longer pant to sorta hide that they are loafers looks better to me.

I have to work very late sometimes and I thought loafers would be good so I can kick them off quickly at my desk. I even took it one step further and dropped in some nike air insoles. They are super comfy for those very long days.

I hate these high vamp loafers. No offense to anyone who has them, but yuck.

Wow. Ten pages and only one mention of the Weston 180?! These are all nice shoes here, but I'd put the 180 in a league of its own. Plus, for those so inclined, it comes in astragal.

I don't normally like loafers, but I like these.

I also find the simple design of Venetian loafers appealing:
