Loafers with a 'square' toe

Found a pair of Bally loafers, same shape as these but brown leather.
So... do these fall under the 'square toe avoid at all costs by shoe purists' category?

That's almost a deck shoe, which I think flies safely under the purist's radar. If you like them, buy them and enjoy them!
