Hello Gentlemen:

I need a sweater badly to combat the cold weather in Nashville.
How does SF feel about LL Bean sweater quality and style? I'm interested in a Cardigan.

Thanks in Advance

PS I despised the ones I purchased last year from Lands End--they went directly to Good_Will.

I have a couple I picked up at a Bean outlet that I like. Overall, I'd say the sweaters are by far the best thing I've bought from Bean. They feel sturdy, rather than luxurious, but that suits me fine. They're made where the labor is cheap, but at least Bean keeps the prices low, even at retail. And you can't beat the lifetime guarantee. If you don't like it, send it back. Here's a sweater vest I bought there. I'm a 38-39, and this is a size small. I may be biased toward it because it fits just like I wanted it to fit for this purpose.
If I destroyed that sweater, I'd pay the full retail -- $34.50 -- to replace it. Not many things I'd say that about.

I'm thinking of picking up some of their cotton sweaters, the ones for about $25 or so. Just got their Visa card, so I can buy with impunity as purchases on their card come with free returns - the one thing that has held me back on speculative LL Bean purchases vs. Lands End.
