I've been having a troubling time deciding on two beautiful boots for the winter season.
I've read most of the posts about the LL Bean Katahdins and I'm probably 98% sold on these.
My only reservation is that I live in Eastern Canada where it can get quite cold and quite sloppy outside.
The internal battle is between the aesthetic and reputable nature of the Katahdin vs. the practicality and perhaps common sensical attributes of the LL Bean Gore-Tex Kangaroo Upland Boots, Leather Moc-Toe Insulated.

Has anyone had any experience with these Upland Boots? Does anyone think they are actually a stylish boot or just a chunky boot one might become embarrassed about and pray for days of deep powder in order to cover them up?
