It is more akin to paint than polish and will dry out your leather over time. It should be avoided unless you have disposable shoes.

If you're going for the distressed / cracked look the sponge applicant you get in hotel rooms for a quick touch up is a great thing. If you value the shoes / leather go for nothing less than a $3 Kiwi tin and an old sock. The small tin is also an easy traveler in the wheelie bag....

We would strongly discourage the use of liquid polish for the same reason noted in this thread.

I use liquid polish as a sole edge dressing, but for that purpose only.
