Jack Lipson shirts are, I believe, made in Canada and seen mainly in that country (although I've seen them in one or two US stores). They are a medium-quality shirt at best and normally sell for around $100 Cdn. in Canadian stores (although interestingly for more than that in the US). Lipson dress shirts are OK and good value for money, I think, but certainly not near the top of the RTW shirt continuum. Their "Signature" line shirts are their best. I have one in a textured, patterned plain white that I quite like, but no one would mistake it for a Borrelli.

Hey Roger...thanks for getting back to me on this....for RTW shirts what do you recommend outside of the brands?....I live in Toronto, thus have access to many great stores and I do see the Lipson brand in most of them...where do you shop in Vancouver?...British Importers?, Rosen's or possibly Outlooks for Men?

u can go to their factory, it is on the queensway. They have a sample shop there where u can pick up theri stuff cheap. They also might sell seconds and so forth. The are ok in quality, as mentioend before thier signature line typically has better fabrics made in italy and so forth. I have 3 of their shirts, they are hearty and last well without any major problems.

British Importers and Outlooks are both in Victoria - I think both sell Lipson but, like Roger, I didn't think much of them.

If you're in Toronto and are looking for better rtw shirts you should check out Marc Laurent on Bloor W which has a nice Borrelli selection, V Hazelton carries Finamore and the Bloor W. Rosen's has Kiton and Brioni.
