1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

What is the rule on posting links in signatures? Are links to external sites allowed?

I dabbled through the stickies and made a few searches, but couldn't find the info I was looking for.

    Thanks!

I think the only stipulation is that your links can't advertise a retailer without the authorization of the mods, and probably that you can't link to any NSFW material without at least labelling it appropriately.

How about a link to a non-retail business? Like a Twin Cities web design, development and marketing firm http://nytrixmedia.com Just want to make sure.

"You are allowed to have one discreet link to your business in your signature file, but you must have explicit written permission for any additional links."
At the top of every forum main page.

You don't appear to have a signature.

I imagine JayStyle wished to know how to add a signature in the first instance....i'm also struggling with this basic concept, would anyone mind passing on some insider knowledge?
