You'd wear a linen suit to a summer interview at the same place you'd wear a tweed suit to a winter interview. Nowhere.

Linen wrinkles no matter what it's in. I own several linen pocket squares and I wouldn't wear any of them (not even my white one with a TV fold) to an interview because they still suffer from the wrinkle affect, and white linen pocket squares have a habit of being not quite white, enough that it might look dirty to an observer. So at best I look like I've got a wrinkled and dirty handkerchief in my pocket.
Just a little OCD here? A linen square folded won't, under any conceivable circumstances, wrinkle.
If, however, wearing a suit is simply too formal for the interview, then just wear wool trousers, shirt and tie.
Sorry, but I cannot agree with this. A jacket without tie is ALWAYS a better option than a tie without a jacket if a jacket and tie is not required but something more than slacks and a shirt is.
Sorry to snark, but "better than Alfani" is redundant.
I work in recruiting and I for one have never seen anyone wear a linen suit to an interview. Its just not done, full stop. And as for a jacket without a tie! Forget it. And yes people, usually internal candidates will come to an interview without a jacket on but they are always wearing a tie.
But do you think cotton suits are acceptable for a job interview?
who wears a suit to a McDonalds interview
Buddy of mine works in corporate strategy at McDonald's HQ. As you can imagine, he has a lot of fun whenever people ask him where he works.
