...I said yes but I think I'd like it better on a leather strap...

I would've liked it better if it didn't have the roman numerals. they spoil the dial's more modern design and clash with the arabic numbers in the subdial and date window.

How about a simple Pontos sub-seconds? It's 43mm and very simply, and comes in a couple different color combos.

It's not to my taste, but not bad.

It is pretty good looking but if it costs more than $1000 I would buy a better brand.

Looks a bit like a Dalí painting. i.e. I don't like it.

It is available for $1100 today only. Apparently, that is a very good price for this watch.

My first reaction was that it does not offend me and I like the grand date and GMT complications but there was nothing drawing me to it.

we used to say in retail "don't buy for the buy, buy for the sell" ie, don't buy something just b/c it is a good deal from a vendor, buy it when you know you can sell it!

In this situation, I would not buy it just because "you can get a great deal on it".... if you don't like it (or are impartial) $1100 is a lot of money to spend on something, just becuase you got a deal on it...

It's ok, I personally prefer either more slim with a leather strap or more complicated (brietling etc) like that.
