For Sale: Luigi Borrelli Navy wool sport coat 42R
This is an incredible jacket that I am truly sad to let go... Retail: $2500+
This is Borrelli Mainline, not luxury vintage or archivo, this is the real thing!
I would rate the actual quality to be up there is La Vera etc.
It is a true work of artisanal craftsmanship.
Lavishly double pick stitched, mind blowing handwork everywhere.
100% Styleforum approved but simple enough to wear everyday.
Great simple style, notch lapel, double vent, but aggressively Italian.
Richest of navies, inky, dark, warm...almost midnight.

Double pick stitching (doppia impuntura)
Old school vent lining finish (see tutto fatto a mano blog re: Ralph Lauren Purple Label)
Hammered and pleated (and bar tacked) Bemberg lining. (By hand of course)
Hand cut pattern.
Barchetta breast pocket.
Hand cut and inserted sleeves.
Some of the most exquisite buttonholes I have ever owned or seen.
Crows feet stitching on all buttons
Mezzaluna (D tacks) on all outside pockets for extra reinforcements and accentuating craftsmanship.
Full canvas construction
3 roll 2 front
Horn buttons (Check out the color)
Size is 42R but the aggressive drop and sculpted shoulders makes it feel more like a 40R.
Shoulder: Nerano (gentle padding- gentle roping on sleevehead)
Size: European 52 Drop 8 R / US 42
Measurements:
Shoulder to shoulder: 19.5"
Chest: 44.5"
Length from bottom of the collar: 31.5"
Sleeve length from shoulder seam: 25.5"

I am getting rid of this gem because I have recently acquired another piece very similar to this. It pains me but it going to get more wear in some other home... I have worn it perhaps 5-10 times in 2 years. Painful, but it is time for it to go...
