Lightweight dress chukkas suitable for walking long distance?

After finding AE's Bayfield boot to be far too clunky and heavy, having an excessively high top, and uncomfortable over long distances, I'm now looking for a lower-rise chukka or something that truly does have an ergonomic sole; and can be worn with a suit like the Bayfield. The closest I've found is the one below from Cabela's, but I want something a little dressier than that without the heavily treaded sole. Any suggestions?

I just picked up some EG Silverstones (photobucket is down). My feet are used to the EG feel and everything else just doesn't feel right.

I am wearing the AE Malvern today, it is a rubber sole with light round dots, not heavily treaded by any means.

A sleeker option is the Tauer and Johnson London Chukka, which you can pick to have soled rubber, leather, or JR Leather. Its a bit more expensive, and one big con, its stitched through the sole of the shoe more than a true welt (speed stitched?)

Otherwise its a bit closer trimmed on the welt, and its a lighter more flexible boot, with more of a Poron insole than a cork and leather footbed.

I have yet to wear them as it has been raining here. Picked them up in the B&S for less than 50% retail BNIB.

Once photobucket quits acting up, I will post more pictures.

I tried to like Alden, I really did. I just could not make them work for me.

I find their lasts so plain and thus ugly, I couldn't stand to look at my feet. The cordovans I bought over Christmas were returned due to this.

I wish I could make myself like them as there always seems to be good deals on them and they are much cheaper than their English counterparts.

Hell, I have some crappy-ass Guccis that are more interesting to look at than those.

At least I know I am not crazy. I know they are great quality shoes and I really wish I liked them.

EG 888 last is much more my style.
