Light grey suit appropriate for attorney in court?

Was thinking about picking up this Zegna suit off Ebay, though it gives me pause because it appears to be pretty light in color. What say you style gods of the internet? Can an attorney in South Florida get away with wearing this to work/to court?

I figure if Michael Westen can pull it off, so can I. Like him, I was a spy, got burned, and woke up in Miami with a super hot ex-girlfriend and an ex- Navy Seal friend.

That's fine. Just wear a tie with it, and take your sunglasses off in court.

It really depend on what sort of law you are practicing. Criminal? Definite No. Divorce? Might work.

YMMV

1. Wear a tie

2. Lose the shades

3. The judge may not appreciate the gun.

Otherwise, it'll probably work just fine.

I see plenty of light grey in court during the summer. May look odd in colder months, but I'm not as far south as you.

I see and also wear plenty of suits in this color during the warmer months. I also practice criminal law, so while you probably wouldn't want to wear it during a jury trial I think you will be fine any other time.

Fiona likes the sunglasses - and it's usually smart not to piss off an ex-IRA bomb maker.

I practice commercial/business litigation for those asking. Lot of depositions/court appearances, but trials are few and far between.

It's perfectly fine, especially for a South Florida lawyer.

I wouldn't wear it in a jury trial, and maybe not to federal court, but otherwise its fine. Just pick sober ties and shoes to go w/ it.

I'm an attorney in south florida also, and I'm sure you've seen some ridiculous stuff in the courts down here. That suit would be perfectly fine for the hotter days or 3 "seasons" down here.

I saw an older attorney wearing the wrinkliest black orphaned suit jacket and faded jeans with skecher sneakers in west palm beach the other day. The opposing counsel wore a suit about 3 sizes too large and it was covered in dog fur.

When I get appointed to the bench, I will admonish counsel for poor sartorial choices before making any rulings...we have to clean up this mess down here.
