I can see how the light gray jacket can be too "neutral", but sometimes I like that.

I think a light grey jacket can certainly be worn easily, and perhaps with a lot of versatility, but I also think it can be difficult to incorporate into a wardrobe geared toward colored jackets. After all, such a wardrobe is likely to have a whole lot of grey trousers; in my opinion, grey odd jackets look best when paired with colored trousers. I can't see ever owning multiple grey odd jackets and cannot justify buying multiple new trousers just to make a single new odd jacket useful to me.

Light-to-medium grey goes with almost anything.

This looks great but take your shoes off of your pants, man!

I'd like to see more contrast in this outfit. The browns are too close to each other and do not contrast enough against the grey. Also, everything is matte and of a similar texture. I think calfskin shoes and an alligator belt would spruce things up.

Looks good but would have preferred darker shoes. There is hardly any contrast between them

I hold the same view regarding dark grey trousers.

the white shirt and white linen pocket square provided contrast

it's a soft look on purpose, Foo

I think this would go with all 3 colors. Personally, I am really intrigued by the light grey/khaki/tan look - I think it's a nice color combo.

The "power" look? I thought that term went out with the dinosaur craze.

So where do gangster pinstripes fit into the delusion of self-importance? Oh yeah, they fit right in.

"power" as in "I rule your ass, sombrero-boy"... not as in, square, overly built-up shoulders, 80s-style...

Where did you buy yours?

I'm looking to purchase a light grey sportscoat in the coming weeks.
