I was wondering if Edward Green has any very light-colored suede offerings in its lineup still, whether MTO or Top Drawer (does Top Drawer have access to more leathers?). In particular, I think I like the color they used to use called "Jaguar Suede", but I don't think it's used anymore. I'd like something very light, maybe sand-colored or lighter. Please don't point me in the direction of the Japanese sites with the EG color swatches as those are extremely out of date -- EG hasn't offered stag suede or scotland calf in years. Does anyone have more information?

Does anyone have opinions on EG's suede in general? I confess the suede on the shoes they made for Bardelli didn't impress...

I have, or had, a pair. I'll look downstairs to see if it is still around. I don't remember it fitting very well. They had to come up with a swatch for me, so you might be able to ask them under my name. It was ordered through Malouf's in Burlingame in the Spring of 2006. The color was nice.

Just contact them.

They might well have remnants, enough to make up a few pairs, but not enough for a "run". Therefore certain colours, leathers etc. are not offered in the wholesale collection.

I bet, if the people at EG turn their leather storage upside down, they are likely to come up with hides, they didn't know they had.

Here you go. If you want the serial number of the shoe, let me know. They are not pinkish as in the picture. The toe color is pretty right on. They actually seem to fit me, so I will shove them back in my closet.

Light-colored shoes seem only appropriate for tropical climates though I rather like the iammatt's suede shoes.

Is that a cowhide rug?

They look great with medium gray flannels. Yes, it is a cowhide rug.

That's a pretty nice shoe to have maybe lying around somewhere in your basement. You're starting to go all Aportnoy on us.

I thought the suede for Bardelli was pretty good.

And how does an American even happen to know about Bardelli?
