Any other fans of this show?

I find the writing and acting excellent. Very interesting premise as well.

I also enjoyed the BBC version. Haven't paid attention to the US version

I thought this thread was going to be about David Bowie. I'm disappointed.

OK? I have never heard it described as that before.

I thought the ABC version would be a weak BBC port. I was pleasantly suprised to see that I was wrong. The first few episodes of the American version are similar to the British version. Beating up suspects, rough interrogations, introduction to forensics and framing suspects... but they are their own shows and stand on their own well.

I think the BBC version is darker and creepier. The girl with the clown on the BBC sign-off screen weirds me out.

They filmed part of one episode on my block, which unfortunately needed little set dressing to look very 1973.

Did see Harvey Keitel, tho', which was kool.

BC did a terrible job of hyping the show up. I saw the previews and thought it was cheesy and would be off the air within a couple weeks.
