Jesus, how is this really even still a question for you? Let me put it this way, how would you feel if you hired someone who lied about how much experience he or she had?

Stop lying. Don't be an asshole.

+1. If I found out you lied to me, then you'd be gone. This is inexcusable.

How is "June 2010" not a specific enough date? We're not talking about a matter of days, we're talking about a whole year.

You are a lying scumbag. If you don't correct this then you deserve whatever happens to you.

Even if they were doing a good job currently? Is there no part of you that would say "well, fair fucks for putting your dick out there, I guess you really wanted the job." If the liar is doing a good job and the lie was of the white variety don't you think you might let it slide?

So...the entire reason you started the thread was never actually an issue?

Also, presumably you saved a copy of your resume, so you could check.

You're not allowed to use the word "honestly". You've forfeited your honesty privileges.

Goodbye. I hope you get fired and thrown in prison.

it would be a hard call. you really need people to be honest in working with you. lieing about a year on a resume isn't a little white lie. I had a very short period of work on my resume that I had to find a way to explain, and it wasn't easy, but I did it. the easy way would have been to lie, and that would have said something about my charactor.

You said you wrote it on your CV. You're lying to us and possibly to yourself.

I'm not gonna change the OP. I really don't remember if I actually said June 2010 to anyone; I did put 2010 on my resume though, which is in writing, so I'm sort of committed. If they find out beforehand they just withdraw the offer, if they find out after, worst case I just go back to one of my old employers or am "self-employed" for a while or join the Peace Corps or something.

Either way, this helps both myself as well as the company, as I am better qualified than anyone else they will find and will add more value than any other prospects. If this brings great things to both of us then I'm fine with it.

    Keep h8ting :foo:

Oh and I'll update you guys if/when I get fired.
