This is a dumb argument. It's not for everyone. Who cares.

I agree that the Levi's/Filson collaboration is exploiting the current workwear trend. But so is every other fashion label at the moment.

The difference is that this line is serious workwear (form follows function) that will likely meet the demands of a logger or a hunter; whereas the designer stuff which is cut to fit nancyboy hipsters would disintegrate after a day of field use (function follows form). The fitted asthetic is hardly practical in situations where mobility and warmth are paramount.

I, for one, intend on using my trucker's jacket for field work. It will be replacing my Eddie Bauer canvas jacket which is full of holes from years of wear. Hopefully when this jacket is full of holes this workwear fad will have passed.

No duh. I make a simple comment about how I can't get into the jacket and it turns into a shit storm.

    Wear on folks.

I was in Macys today and spied a Levis trucker jacket like the one that's the topic of this thread.

It's khaki and made of canvas, like the jacket discussed here, except it has corduroy at the collar and the sleeves' cuffs are unlined with corduroy. I has a very light plaid lining in the body of the coat though there seems to be no insulation behind it; its arms are polyester-lined.

It MSRP''d for about $88 but it was on sale for $69. FYI.

Regardless where and how you wear your Levi's, at least some of you here enjoy and actually admit wearing a mass market label like Levi's. I posted a pic of a Levi's boot on another thread and was deemed not cool.

Not everybody wears bespoke suits and John Lobb shoes everyday, if they actually own any of those. Nice to run into some real people on this forum.

those boots were cheap shit though

I kop'd this jacket today. It's pretty great. Sized up one though as it fits very slim. Probably going to be my major fall jacket.

That's a sharp looking duffle. Is the color darker in person or is that an accurate picture? I think the only piece of the collection I would actually buy would be the cruiser jacket, it looks dope as hell.

color is pretty accurate, but obviously it looks darker indoors and the denim looks more blue in real light.
