I can't imagine someone confronting me like that in real life. And if they did I am not one of those people that feel inclined to answer every question.

You can't imagine someone "confronting" you like that? WTF? You just called everyone on the forum a poser, but you can't imagine someone asking you something like that in real life. Man you are a piece of work.

Some Guy: Hey is that watch fake?

Pastafarian: Yo dude I don't want to talk about it.

    Some Guy: LOL

See, because Pastafarian has no friends and can't socialize with others in real life.

You don't need to buy fake to get the aesthetic. This is what I've learned.

Heck, if you're looking for a Submariner look-alike/similar looking watch, there are plenty of options out there:

    Debaufre
    [IMG]

    Steinhart
    [IMG]

    Christopher Ward

And there's plenty more, but those are the three better options IMO.

He probably won't, but I will. I don't go on dates (I'm married), but if someone says they like my watch, I'm all like "Yeah, it's fake, check it out." and then they usually comment on how heavy it is. If anything, it scores points with people. It's a way better conversation starter than the merits of a hand-joined collar versus a machine-sewn one. :p

This is a completely different attitude than wearing a fake to fool people and impress them with your "class."

that's an interesting thing for someone with 2400 internet posts/10 months to say.

Why don't you get a real life first before you talk to others about socializing? LOL.

I'm do just fine. Thank you.

Is there a huge difference between wearing a fake and getting a ticket pocket/hacking pockets, pick stitching, and all the accompanying bespoke accoutrement on $400 MTM suits? Seems the idea is about the same. Projecting class/expensive items while in reality having low quality items.

Unless your $400 MTM has a Huntsman (or whatever high-end bespoke tailor you care to name) label on it, then no it's not the same thing at all.
