Honestly...if your girl wants nice lingerie, you kinda gotta splurge. If you really want some kind of mid point alternative, Elle Macpherson lingerie is quite nice and not too expensive, as is Stella McCartney lingerie and even DKNY (for a lower price point). If you take time to look and go to a lingerie boutique that specializes in many brands (not just one), you'll be able to find something good and not too insanely expensive.
