Lots of variables here. 3rd party filters mostly adjust how fast they let the water through, with most of them being much faster than the default tabbed Hario filter. If you can get the Japan-only non-tabbed Hario filters (available from Prima), they're a little faster than the tabbed ones, but I don't think there's a huge difference in taste. Some people prefer a slower flow to get more extraction too: it depends on lots of other variables in your coffee brewing style.
Completely agree. I've changed paper only when I needed a faster flow to allow me to grind finer or vice versa.

I bought this a month ago. Found i have to press down on the lid when sealing so it is by the least consequential of margins not effortless. But it does a phenomenal job, better than the friis with a latch. Im surprised there are not more automatic sealers for sale.

I'm intrigued - also surprised more like that don't exist. I have a couple of Fellow canisters but the manual process of getting the air out is tedious, and they will occasionally leak some back in.

Id say pull the trigger. Not that expensive and it works! You're already addicted to purchasing!

I have 3 of these.
One for press, one for the cold brew beans, and one for espresso.
They work phenomenal.

Last time I ordered filters for my Hario dripper, I accidentally ordered a 200 pack of generic ones. They work fine, and the coffee tastes fine, but they drip considerably slower than the Hario ones.
