i actually do like how the sole looks. lows (so called round toe shoes) definitely looks better than those boots tho.

why you didn't like derbys? only reason i havent bought them yet is that they are cherry color lol. then again... i dont have anything but black shoes...

Round toe shoes had a pretty boring shape from what I remember. The leather looked flat and dull (kinda expected at that price).
Just looked cheap in general. Not very substantional and too lightweight.

I haven't got the hooded jacket yet. Will probably take another week since I will send back the first package as soon as I get it.

I tried on the hooded jacket earlier and I think it's slightly large, but not really to the extent that you need to size down. I bought another short coat last fw, and I'd say this is maybe 2 cm larger in the shoulders.

Yup, that's the one. It's really tight in the shoulders on me, but in the hoodcoat I had some room. (for a knit perhaps) [IMG]

ty both, appreaciate your help. :) although I ordered those cherry round toe shoes and navy hooded wool jacket as well lol. if shoes aren't as nice as usually or jacket don't fit, COS returning is free

these black lace ups are my fav shoes by a mile. of course they're not best leather on the market but I like the shape. hopefully round toe shoes will be fine

If any Americans/Canadians/Australians etc. i.e. those not living within Europe, who need a COS proxy, I'm willing to extend my Free Uniqlo UK Proxy service to cover COS as well. Same terms and conditions apply. For more details and references check out the link in my signature. :)

    Thoughts on the peacoat?

It's 100% wool and has a minimalist look. I like. How about quality and cut though?

    Got my stuff today.

Hoodcoat is very good. The wool is nicer than expected but the lining is a bit flimsy. Cut is great (slim arms, cropped length, big hood). It is a bit snug over my upper back and shoulders, but I'm pretty built in those areas. Def go TTS. A 52 would probably look sloppy on me and be huge in the midsection. It'll probably stretch a bit like wool blazers do.

The collarless/hidden placket shirt isn't for me. I think the style is a bit too feminine/looks weird on guys that aren't skinny model look-a-likes.

That peacoat looks like it has the same outer and cut as the hoodcoat. I'd say go for it.

i think peacoat is a bit boring style (read: timeless classic), but there's nothing wrong with it! and if it fits, you'll be most likely happy.

New poster here, but I've been lurking for a while.

I'm a regular Cos shopper, but I try and stick to the Birmingham shop to avoid the postage fees. I've bought a few things online though. I'm from the UK, but when I've bought stuff on the site before the pricing has come up in Euros along with the postage pricing and it turned out to be a lot cheaper. It's now switched to GBP pricing. I was wondering if there's any way that I can use the Euro pricing and get it mailed to the UK?

Can you post a picture of the hooded coat? I'm interested in the color, because on the shops sitei t looks more glack/grey than navy.

Thanks for the insight. Do you think the price (225 eur) is justified by the cut, material, whatever (i.e. good price-quality ratio)?

I'm probably coming off as insecure and incapable of judging -- beyond making an ass of myself -- because I've been able to gather very little info on COS clothing in general, and any detailed information seems very scarce.

I paid 165 euros for it the other day when they had 20% off. Still worth it at retail.

You're probably not gonna find a similar style jacket at that price point. The only alternatives I can think off in this semi-formal, short, hooded jacket style is either one of Stephan Schneiders coats (800 dollars) or something from a japanese ultra expensive label. The quality might not be the best, but it's still enough for most people. I mainly buy COS because of the styling, which is great for the price.

Coat is navy. Nothing weird about it. Sure you're not looking at the cotton version? That one is certainly a washed out black/grey.

Here's the wool one I've got:

conceptionist I assume you got a size 50 from your previous post?

could you post some measurements? I know you recommended TTS but I'm between sizes usually

    thanks
