Wow. Really like how nuanced the details are.
any thoughts on this:
At 175 euros it seems so low-priced that I'm temped to think it may well be rubbish but...who knows better?
From my experience with COS, the fabrics are pretty interesting and the cuts are great.
The downside is the construction which really is decent to pretty poor. It still is enough for most people.
I've only handled a pair of wool trousers but they were great for the price.
I've handled a whole lot of stuff from COS by now, but not the blazer in question. I still feel that I can comment based on the other blazers I've seen. They are cut for slim people. Think slim arms, slimish shoulders, a slight drop and longish arms/body. I always felt that there was somthing off about their cuts, but that could be because of my not as slim frame. COS uses a variety of denim and I have no idea which one is used on this blazer. Their denimshirts have a softer and thinner fabric, their jeans are more rigid. I find their denimshirts to be too thin, but they are unlined and the blazer is not. Even though, construction is not great. The lining is flimsy and synthetic. Also no working buttons on the cuffs. I might be overly harsh on the construction considering the price and did not compare it to similar priced stuff, but I felt like the blazer I handled was not quite worth retail. Keep in mind I was also not perfectly happy with the fit, so that might have something to do with that, too. I would advise you to wait for a sale or at least free shipping before you order. If you don't mind the shipping costs and still want to try it, go for it. I have never had a problem with returning the items.
Hope that helps.
thanks, very helpful. As I'm quite obsessed with quality I think I'll skip the whole thing, not point in having a so-so- blazer that I don't really need in the first place
I've never proxied anything for anyone before (so I don't know what kind of fees people normally charge), but I work in the same shopping centre as the Birmingham UK store. I also get 10% off everything including sale. Let me know if I can be of any help and we'll work something out.
you can't say much about the construction of COS items in general if you've only handled one pair of trousers
COS quality varies a bit, but overall it's quite good. I would say it's on the same level as H&M designer collaborations. I have a lot more than a pair of wool trousers too.
I usually find the quality to be comparable to, if not better than, APC. The two brands have certain similarities for me - simple, clean, slim cuts and an overall lack of branding on items but the price point and limited distribution makes COS more appealing.
Well described. COS knit that I recently bought stretched a lot and fits much bigger now. I'll wear it oversized, because its texture is so good but still disappointed.
Free shipping on orders over €150 till 10/06/12. Gonna grab some t-shirts, hope all their wide-neck stuff is as awesome as the t-shirt I already have.
Anyone willing to proxy for someone in the states?
Sure, hit me up. I'm from the Netherlands.
Could people living near a store see if they still have this somewhere in a 46-48?
have you received the t-shirts already?
is the quality okay for the price? do they shrink in the washing machine?
thanks in advance
