Really been getting into Ennio Morricone lately. I've played out the major stuff like the Mission and TGTBATU. Since he's released about 17,000 records, I'm wondering what's worth tracking down.

Any fans here? What am I missing out on?

Well, after going through the dollar trilogy and the America trilogy, I would look at The Untouchables.
And if you like that style, I suggest something newer like In the Line of Fire.

As for individual pieces, there is the famous Chi Mai from Le Professionel, and I like the main theme from
Le clan des Siciliens, and am especially fond of Two Mules for Sister Sara.

I suggest you get yourself a Best-of CD or two, and then you can sample a broad range of his work.

I love Gli Occhi Freddi Della Paura, and Giù la testa is pretty fun. Both are from the early 70s, one of his best periods.

Hardly lesser, but I love the following:

One Upon a Time in America -- awesome
Cinema Paradiso -- profoundly beautiful
Duck you Sucker -- typical of his unique spag western scores. Unique.
The Untouchables -- a mixture of the three above. Amazing score.

Many others.

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I'm aware of the Inglorious Basterds soundtrack, it has "Rabbia e Tarrentella" on it which is pure ownage. Will definitely check out the Once Upon a Time scores, though I've yet to see the films.
