I thought they had closed at last. For as long as I can remember they've had signs 'Everything must go' and 'End of lease'. I once asked and a staff member told me they were not leaving just renegotiating the lease.

Anyone know anything about it ? Seems an old fashioned jewish place. You go in for a tweed jacket and if they have not got your size they try to sell you a linen jacket instead.

I like the fact that it still exists - better than another global brand taking the premises.

A delayed response, to say the least, but a much younger colleague just bought something from there yesterday, after a couple of beers, this tickled me for some reason.

I'm sure it's been there since I first regularly walked around that area, which is as a new student 25 years ago. I'm not certain that the 'closing down' signs have been there all that time, but they may well have been.
