Because of all the poor things I’ve heard about Lemaire footwear, I was wondering if anyone has experience with their camera and/or croissant bags? I’d love to get one but I’m hoping that the leather and construction are better quality than what they use for their shoes (I presume they would use different leathers).

They're overpriced for the quality. I purchased them and then had to returned them because the pull tab tore the leather that it was attached to when I was putting them on...it looked rather poorly constructed, since the pull tab was glued to the leather and wasn't reinforced very well. Maybe that wouldn't bother you, but I also don't think the leather quality is exceptional. Rather disappointed. That being said, the styling is on point and they look great on foot!

If they were under $300 then perhaps it would make sense. But even then, the construction is sub-par. I just had to write a review because I was shocked how bad they were haha

These two bags I've seen in person and they're pretty nice, might be also they are also made in ateliers that specialise in these. The satchel bag, I almost bought, but I personally wasn't impressed with the leather. In terms of footwear, I think the ones they do in collaboration with shoe brands are the better options most of the time. I wish they produced more of the Sanders models a few seasons back.

Shoes and bags are completely different.
I don’t know who makes the footwear, but I know it’s not the same as the people that makes the bags. And all the bags and “small leather goods” have been great to amazing, in terms of what I own.

Lemaire jewellery, on the other hand, is trash. But I don’t know who’s buying brass jewellery for $500 anyway.

fwiw, those boots are definitely not great in terms of build and materials but if you love the styling and you can afford them then they are worth it. I love mine. I know they’re lacking in a lot of areas but the silhouette is dope enough that I really enjoy them. Granted, I got them at a pretty great price so that might be a consideration. I’ll also add that all the other Lemaire footwear i have is great. It’s not what you’d expect from a traditional shoemaker but it’s on par or better with other designers in the same space. The slippers, Chinese slippers, ballerinas, high tops and desert boots are all well made and use nice materials. My boots are also from the first run so things might have improved in subsequent seasons.

I’d say it’s also worth noting that they only seem to have been making footwear “in-house” for a few seasons. So hopefully as they learn things get better too.

Question for everyone about the Indigo Denim Twisted Jeans -- how have people's experiences been washing or dry cleaning these?

I'm kind of pre-programmed (from the APC / selvedge denim days) to wear raw denim for as long as possible before washing (for the best wear / fades), and then doing either cold water / Woolite Darks / hang dry OR dry cleaning.

But not sure if either of these approaches would even make a difference here.

That’s what I thought would be the case mate, thanks heaps for the clarification. Good to hear that your experience has been much better with the bags and other shoes to those boots. Definitely looking at grabbing a camera or croissant bag when I have the spare cash.

Ballerinas fit a little looser than the Chinese slippers, about the same as the boots

mine are all 45s. The Chinese slippers are a little snug, boots feel good, and the ballerinas I need thicker socks with. I’d say if you’re a half size then go down to the nearest size.

I got a pair of Chinese slippers in 41 but they are very snug, tried a pair of boots in 42 and they’re huge. I guess the 41 for boots and ballerinas is the right size, just grabbed last pair available

I’d say this season’s version is true to size. (I usually wear 46 and bought 46.) It has a regular fit with a looser sleeve.

Jumpsuit is up on Nordstrom ... curious about the sizing. Website says L coordinates with 32" waist, but I imagine there's some flexibility there.

Edit: Most of the collection now looks live on the Lemaire US site as well...
