It's not scratchy at all, lighter weight, soft (i think enzyme washed?) but a little stiff. It may be because of the wash process, but i'm sure it will soften after a few days of wear pretty easily.
TBH I am not a denim person at all, until it comes to off-white denim. Something about off-white denim is just really cool to me.

Quick question about this season pleated elastic waist trouser. I think most are made out of cotton, does the fabric wrinkle easily? Because I have a cotton elastic waist and it wrinkle way too much for liking

Anyone have interest in a pair of original (Christophe) Lemaire side zip boots? They are tagged a size 42, but fit 9.5/10. I’m a US 10 and they fit me, slightly snug.

Good condition still, only worn a handful of times and have had a Vibram sole added.

PM if interested and can provide pics etc. Otherwise I'll probably end up throwing them up on that site.

I’ve tried a couple of pairs from the current season and I agree with you.

But they have recently released a pair in hemp blend that usually is more wrinkle friendly. And tbh, they look pretty good too :)

Yeah the poplin tonic is very lightweight, but it's still cotton so it will always wrinkle. I think it's less wrinkly than typical cotton since it's so light though.
As for the cotton/hemp, I've only worn them twice so far but they wrinkle more than the cotton tonic. Linen always seems to wrinkle more, and these are a heavier fabric than the tonic so the wrinkles kind of "set" in more.
Either way i'd recommend both of them. They are an casual, easy pant so it's not something i'd really wear formally or when you want them to stay crisp. If that's what you want I'd try and find some of the wool string pants from previous seasons, especially the SS18 jaquard ones which are super comfortable and very lightweight.

double viscose
Knit polo and watercolour camo shorts (I forget the actual print name)

I wish he’d make this cut of shorts again. if anybody has some in other prints/fabrics I’ll buy them off you.

Do you have a link of the poplin tonic trouser ? I’m currently debating between the marni and lemaire elastic waist trouser thanks

All the pairs this season are cotton tonic, except for the one pair of black that are the cotton/hemp.

cotton tonic: https://www.ssense.com/en-us/men/product/lemaire/grey-poplin-pleated-drawstring-trousers/4720641

Cotton/Hemp: https://www.ssense.com/en-us/men/product/lemaire/black-pleated-drawstring-trousers/4720631

The Marni ones are great too fwiw, i have a few pairs of those. Main difference is Marni have belt loops and are much more tapered and cropped. You can size down on them safely if you want a neater look too.

@ThomSquared Thank you :)
My leather blouson is the 52. That's my typical Lemaire size, although in some things I do go up to a 54 or down to a 50.
But 52 is my usual size. The blouson fits a little slim, especially across the back/lats, but generally it's TTS and I think that's the right size for the style an fit. I can't really layer much under it, but it's a soft, light leather so I wasn't really planning on layering with it anyway.

What’s your impression on these trousers?

fit/fabric etc?

I’m a pair of trousers that I can love for many years and will age with me, any advice?

@Bottari I have the wool version of those from that season and like them a lot. But the wool has a tonal jaquard, almost like a ripstop, so it's a bit more interesting. It's also VERY lightweight wool so perfect for summer. I don't know what the cotton feels like, but if you end up buying them, definitely size down one (maybe even two if your short and thin).
That first fit on the previous page is actually the wool pair, i had them hemmed to a cropped leg (I think i called them the large elasticated pants on that fit, but they're the string).

Also, did anybody here grab the size 52 cotton/hemp military shirt from Tres Bien? It sold really quickly yesterday. If you did, and it doesn't work out for you, let me know. I want it.
