Kind of don't have high hopes for Mr. P's buy, but glad to see it anyway.

managed to buy the lemaire boots from Farfetch. Upon receiving I’m not sure if the leather should crease like this. I wonder if anyone had the same issue, or I’m just overthinking it

I’m pretty sure that’s normal. They aren’t super nice leather, you’re paying for the silhouette and name.

It just seem odd to me that it looks like loose grain leather at the crease part before even trying it on, I don't expect crazy quality but for 800$ retail, I think it should have normal creases (correct me if I'm wrong)

I think what you are seeing is the difference between top grain and full grain leather. Like what @OccultaVexillum said, you’re paying for the silhouette and name with Lemaire boots, which is the case with many designers.

I can understand that you might be a little taken back by it, but the reality of the situation is boots crease when you wear them and it’s a normal part of the product. They won’t stay flat and shiny unless you don’t wear them at all, which defeats the purpose of owning the boots.

I say you should wear them and wear them often. They are really nice and should be worn as much as possible. The only one who gonna notice those creases is you (and maybe a handful of strangers in the internet ?)

Guys I just want to be clear that I’m not bothered by creases when I received the boots, but the fact that leather seems to be loose grain leather, which I wasn’t expecting on a $800 retail boots, yes I understand I’m buying into the design, but there are designer patent leather/shiny boots that I own that doesn’t have the loose grain pattern/crease and still having a normal leather crease. Anyways, I just wanted to know if it happened on other member who purchased the boots as well.
Thank you.

Mine look the same and I’m sure it’s how others are too. I don’t think it’s that the leather necessarily has loose grain, it just creases terribly and tbh feels pretty bad. But I haven’t had a tear, puncture, or significant signs of wear after wearing mine regularly for the past 5 months.
