The parka wears better than the Maxi coat in my experience. I have the Maxi in Owl and though it looks great, the parka is much more practical. (I have not worn the Maxi coat out though, so, take that for what it is worth.) They feel about the same weight, I would lean towards the Maxi as being heftier. I live in California and the jacket might be bit of an overkill for the weather here. I am sure with layering it will fair well in climates that see more rain. I have worn...
