I've recently developed somewhat of an obsession with leather jackets, however, I wish I could wear them more as the few I have are way too warm to wear during a warm, sunny day. Now you might say, well who wears a black leather jacket during a warm, sunny day anyways? I do, well, I'd like to. Sometimes.

Anyone know of any regular black leather jackets that are very lightweight? Also, what types of materials should I be looking for. I obviously need something that's not lined, but I don't know if it being non-lined will help enough as my leather jackets are lined, but I haven't removed it. Basically, are there any leather jackets that can be worn comfortably in a warm environment or are they doomed for night time wear/fall?

And I'm not talking about hanging out and about it blazing in the sun, just went I'm out and about shopping or something during the afternoon.

You'll have a hard time getting one unlined. Get a very simple slimline one with centre zip, band collar, goatskin is thinner and softer then cow leather. Horse hide is thicker.

I appreciate the quick/helpful response. So you're saying it's not really a feasible option to go to an alterations place to have the liner removed? It's that tough of a job/might cost a lot?

Might be doable but a smooth nylon/satin lining won't add much bulk and will make it easier to get on and off. An unlined leather jacket is gonna grip your t shirt and arms and absorb all that sweat. I wouldn't recommend it.

Makes a ton of sense, thanks for saving me from doing something stupid. Seriously, I really appreciate it Ianiceman.
