I just picked up a pair of the LEE 101B's (not the one with the horse hair patch) the europe edition ones. I sized down to a 30 (my usual size is 32) and they fit great. My question is should i wear them for a couple months without washing or should i wash them asap? they are a soft dry denim and not the stiff nudie denim so if i wear them for a couple months before washing will the same affect happen as nudies?

I have the 101b horsehair on hide buckleback jeans and they shrank about 1" after a wash. I'd just wear them until you're forced to wash them, by that time they should be stretched out enough where even with shrinkage they'd fit fine. Yea the denim is a 11.5oz lightweight material. Very comfy and good color.

Thanks for the info, sounds like you really like yours too. How did you wash yours and after how long? also how much of the indigo washes off? thanks again.

I had heard these jeans shrink more than the tag says for being sanforized so I did an immediate wash just to get them sized down since they were a tad larger than I would have liked. After the 1" shrink they ended up being perfect. I didnt notice much indigo loss but the inside weft sure got blue-ed from the indigo in the water.

I have the same pair, 101b euro repros.

When they arrived they were a bit big, so I tried to shrink them as much as possible (hot soak, hot dry).

They're still a bit loose for my liking, so they don't get into the regular rotation. But nonetheless, and excellent jean.
ps. if anyone wants a pair....

I found that they shrunk a tiny bit across the thigh on first wash - waist and leg length stayed the same. After wearing them for a while the waist stretched out quite a bit, so i'm thinking about getting another pair one size down. They are lovely jeans but quite loose for me at the moment - I wish they'd let us have some more 101Zs!!

Check your local Saks. The one in the Houston Galleria had dry and washed 101Zs when I checked a few months ago.

Or, why don't you just order some direct from Lee, since you're from oipolloi aren't you?
