Hey guys,

Could not find a centralized thread for hair questions, and as I see many new ones popping up, I guess I have to start one for my question. (but maybe we should have one where all hair questions and pictures can be posted.

I am looking for a good Leave-In conditioner. I have curly hair, which I like when it is wet; after it dries up it looses all shape and just looks bad. I was never into hair products so I dont know much about them. My stylist suggested that Id look into those types of conditioners.

My current hair routine is (I alternate): Nizoral, Jason's thin-thick shampoo and cond, Body Shop Ginger shampoo.

Could anyone reccomend a good natural product that will help me keep my hair looking like its wet and more straight? (no gels)

Thanks

I can tell you how to keep it nice and curled. To keep it straight and wet just add in some Marrakesh oil.

I use American Crew Leave-In conditioner (now discontinued, so i need to find a worthy replacement myself). I don't use a regular conditioner usually, just this leave-in one, added when my hair is damp. When it dries a bit I add American crew Forming cream. Both are excellent for my curly hair.

Try Hair One from Sally Beauty Supply. The stuff can be used as a shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner. It really works well and it's only $11 for a decent sized bottle. Very different than anything I've used before. Application procedure is key for it to work properly. Search "Wen cleansing conditioner" on Youtube to see how to apply it. There's a Sally Beauty Supply in Brooklyn and Jersey City if you don't want to buy online. http://www.sallybeauty.com/cleansing...efault,pd.html

Abba has a nice leave in conditioner and I'd suggest using at least some sort of product on your hair which will hold it in place. I'd suggest a gel (soft hold so no stiffness), hair cream (minimal hold but conditioning and will hold hair's definition), or some sort of pomade. The pomade, however, may be a little heavy depending on the coarseness of your hair.

I like using giovanni leave in conditioner because it contains natural ingredients and works just as well as salon brands.

I use this, and love it. It won't help your hair look more wet as there is no shine, but it will help hold shape.

Gnatural All day Leave in Conditioner is Great for adding all day Moisture and to keep you hair and scalp dry. It keeps your hair safe by hydrating your natural coils and strengthens the inner hair shaft to prevent hair breakage. It’s a 100% natural care leave in conditioner for your hair.

I like paul mitchell the conditioner for everyday use (it's leave-in). If you want something with a little more shine kiehl's makes a grooming aid which will add a little more weight, but it feels slightly greasy (I wouldn't wear it to bed). http://www.kiehls.com/Hair%20Conditi...efault,pd.html

I second the Paul Mitchell one (Tea Tree?) I use this daily, and so does my wife when she wants to embrace her curls :)
