Leather vs. Canvas duffle bags

Ostentatious is different from conspicuous. In most places, a leather bag will stick out from the crowd, regardless of the type of leather. When I travel, I prefer to be as unnoticeable as possible. Leather bags do not help with this.

I have a wool with leather trim and handles that I use for short trips. My vote is for leather though.

I have both and my leather duffle is a beater while my canvas duffle (with leather trim) looks pristine.

Canvas when I fly or drive and leather only when I drive.

A leather bag with canvas lining inside because that is most durable a leather bag can get.
