Leather Soles Coming Apart - Solutions?

I have a pair of vintage ankle boots from the 60s. They are my absolute favorite pair of shoes. I wear them nearly every day, rain or shine, and the double leather sole is starting to come apart at the edges - its getting kind of bad. I think that this sole was glued, as they weren't anything fancy to begin with. I love these boots so much that I don't want to have to get a new pair, is there anything inexpensive I can do at home to fix them? Some sort of glue or cement maybe?

Not surprising that they are falling apart. I'm not sure how you can repair them but if you want them to last, let them rest at least 24, and better 48 hours between wearing.

Take them in to a shop who can tell you what to do. If they can be glued by you, the guy can tell you which glue to use. If not, he will tell you that. If they are your favorite, they are worth fixing properly so they don't get ruined.
