Leather soled Boots in the winter

Hi Guys,

Had a quick question about boots. I'm thinking of getting some flat leather soled ankle boots for winter wear with business casual (think trousers and dress shirt). I am wondering if I should have the same rubber soles (tomi, tami? sp) put on them as I would on my dress shoes, or if there is something more substantial to prevent slippage on icy sidewalks. I want to keep that sleek soled look, without falling on my finely tailored a*s.

Thanks,

Farooq

Topy should be enough, but there is thicker material available that has a deeper tread.
