Sorry to start a new thread, but i wasn't getting any answers in Q/A

I just bought a pair of Common Projects mids and they have that new leather squeak like crazy. It seems to be caused by the top of the tongue rubbing the inside wall of the shoe when laced snug.

The squeack nearly goes way when i wear them very loose, but this is an uncomfortable option.

Any oils, polish, or other items/treatments i can do to get rid of this. (I have only worn them a few times so i assume some will go away with wear).

p.s. keep in mind that these are white shoes, so some polishes might not be an option

    help appreciated

If they are like my Common Projects, the squeak will not go away with time. [IMG]

I do not have a squeak, but I am forced to wear them loose since my feet are really wide. Oils will not do anything, I guess if it were lined not in leather there would not be a squeak, maybe get canvas common projects instead of leather?

I've had 3 pairs of Common Projects, and only 1 pair squeak. I think it varies by model. No idea what causes it though....

Probable cause is friction b/w the leather, try conditioning with some leather treatment and I'm sure it will go away.

At least you don't fart as you walk. I tend to do this. Loudly.

I had the same problem with my patent Leather YSL sneakers and tried everything and nothing worked. They just sit in my closet collecting dust.

I had the same problem with my Achilles. It never went away, but I never tried anything to make it stop.
